MEET ALEX
Hi there, and welcome!
I’m a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer born and raised in Massachusetts, where my lifelong love of music began at age four with the piano. By twelve I’d picked up the guitar, and not long after, I was writing songs and fronting bands — something I’ve been doing since 2007. Over the years, my voice has become my primary instrument, but I also play drums and bass and love helping others explore all sides of musicianship.
My musical background is rooted in rock and pop, but I’ve performed and recorded across nearly every genre — from classical and world music to jazz, hip hop, and R&B. This wide-ranging experience shapes the way I teach: whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your skills, I focus on helping each student find their own unique sound and creative confidence.
As a producer, I’ve worked on projects at every level — from DIY bedroom sessions to fully equipped professional studios. I’ve also spent time in a psychology lab studying music cognition and music’s impact on the brain, which has given me a deeper understanding of how we learn, process, and emotionally connect with music.

LESSONS
I love helping people discover what they can do with music — whether it’s finding your voice, writing your first song, or finally learning those chords you’ve always wanted to play. I offer rock and pop voice lessons for beginners, with a focus on building confidence, healthy technique, and your own unique style. I also teach songwriting, along with piano, guitar, and music theory for beginners, plus intro-level bass. My lessons are relaxed and flexible — we’ll move at your pace, focus on what excites you most, and make sure you’re having fun while you learn.
